Praying Hard, Praying Lots.

So, the following is that latest journal update from Pete-ah's (Peter's) Caring Bridge site:

Things are looking pretty serious for Peter.  While fairly early, the cancer (hepatacellular carcinoma) has spread to his lungs.  This is liver sorosis, typically associated with alcohol abuse, or Hepatitus B in adults.  None of the factors for this kind of cancer are in Peter's history and there are no known environmental causes.  Extemely rare, the only known correlation is that most often occurs in premature boys.

He has a kidney test at 07:30.   We will consult with his oncologist and determine if Children's, or St Jude's is Peter's best option and how quickly a referral can be processed.

An formal application for an Angel Flight  (to get to St. Jude's) is already submitted.   That may take one of two options.  One of Rob's personal friends flies for Angel Flights and will get Keri and Peter to St. Jude's.

Rob and Elise may follow in our van, so as to have a vehicle there and provide all the support we can.  Rob's father suggested moving his camper to the area should it be the best housing option.

The clock is ticking...  and we've got to move fast.

If you have better options, they would be appreciated now.

I'm going to ask that all of you who pray, pray. All of you who hope, and wish, and have any positive vibes, send them to little Pete. Please. Love you Pete-ah.

Always,
HopefulAndSadEnglishMajor
